Program
Highlights

Multilingualism

We have developed a unique program that fully meets the requirements of the Serbian educational system, enriched with modern approaches and international educational methodologies.

Teaching at our center is conducted in both Russian and Serbian. We aim to preserve our children’s Russian language and identity while helping them adapt to their new environment by learning Serbian to a level that allows them to successfully pass the final exams of the Serbian program at the end of grade 8 and receive their diploma.

In addition to Russian and Serbian, English is a mandatory subject.
Multilingualism and respect for different cultures are essential components of global thinking, which we strive to cultivate in every child.
To help children master three languages, we use the CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) method.

Besides standard language lessons, some subjects are taught in foreign languages.
For example, in addition to five Serbian lessons per week, our elementary school art class is also taught in Serbian. Drama classes are conducted in English, while mathematics is taught in Russian.
This way, children immerse themselves in a linguistic environment where they must use their knowledge of each language.

Modern Pedagogical
Approaches

We aim for our students to become well-rounded, independent thinkers.
Thus, our work is based on recognized research in child and adolescent psychology, as well as the experience of the world’s best schools.
In developing our program,
we were inspired by:
The Constructivist Approach
in Pedagogy
Tony Buzan’s Theory
of Multiple Intelligences

The Constructivist Approach

in Pedagogy

The key idea of the constructivist approach is that knowledge cannot be simply transferred to the learner in a ready-made form. Instead, conditions must be created for students to construct and develop their own knowledge.

Thus, our program is filled with projects and research opportunities that allow children to make independent discoveries through trial, error, and reflection.

Tony Buzan’s Theory

of Multiple Intelligences

Tony Buzan, an American psychologist, dedicated his life to the study of intelligence and memory. He argued that for a person to develop fully, they must nurture different aspects of intelligence.
Programs
Osnovna škola (Elementary School) lasts eight years. Primary education is mandatory at the state level.

Like in Russia, in grades 1-4, children are taught by one teacher (“učitelj/učiteljica”). Starting from grade 5, students have different teachers for various subjects (“nastavnik/nastavnica”).

At the end of grade 8, students take the final exam, Mala matura, which includes tests in three subjects:
  • Serbian Language
  • Mathematics
  • A science subject of their choice (e.g., biology, chemistry, physics, geography).

Program for Children Aged 5.5-11 (Grades 1-4)

Primary school is a crucial stage in every child’s life, as it lays the foundation for the knowledge and skills needed for further education in high school.

In the primary division of our school, children aged 5.5 to 11 are involved in a stimulating learning environment. Lessons are designed to be engaging, allowing children to actively participate through games, projects, and group activities.

We also place great emphasis on developing social skills, communication, and critical thinking. Primary school nurtures curiosity and a love of learning, building a strong foundation for future education.

The primary school curriculum includes the following subjects: Serbian, English, Russian, arithmetic, theater, music, sports, art studio, and environmental studies.

Children attend school from 8:30 am to 3:40 pm, with daily outdoor activities included in the program.

Program for Children Aged 11-14 (Grades 5-7)

The goal of this educational stage is to help children recognize their personal strengths and develop higher-level cognitive abilities, as well as deepen their understanding of humanities, natural sciences, and foreign languages.

The program for students aged 11-14 focuses on this significant period of self-discovery and identity formation.

Particular attention is given to developing critical and creative thinking. Students learn to work in teams, conduct independent projects, and carry out research, which fosters confidence and prepares them for adult life.

The curriculum includes subjects such as mathematics, Serbian, Russian, and English languages, physics, chemistry, biology, computer science, as well as theater, music, art studio, and sports.

The school day starts at 8:30 am and ends at 3:30 pm.
